Biography
Clara Pasieka is a journalist currently living and working in New Brunswick for the largest newspapers in the province, the Times & Transcript/Telegraph-Journal. She holds a masters in public policy, public administration and law from York/Osgoode, a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and political science from the University of Toronto and is an alum of the Fellowship in Global Journalism at the University of Toronto. She has worked at the Ontario Legislature as a freelance reporter and previously was in OLIP in 2018-2019, a non-partisan position which allowed her to visit legislatures across the country and the UK and work intimately with MPPs on both sides of the aisle. She has presented her academic research on Canadian democracy and legislature proceedings across Canada. Prior to becoming a journalist, she told Canadian stories on stage and screen for 13 years as an actor, writer and producer. Her films and television shows have played all over the world and several have been nominated for the Canadian Screen Awards. She had held over 70 jobs in various industries.
