Carolyn Thompson is a Canadian data journalist based in East Africa. She reports on human rights abuses, conflict, displacement and refugees, and government accountability. She uses data and open source intelligence in her reporting. Her work has appeared on CBC, Radio Canada, France 24, NPR, News Deeply, Roads & Kingdoms, Maclean's, in Postmedia newspapers, the Telegraph-Journal and various magazines.
